It happened at 11:20. I just finished work and hopped on 76 west from Passayunk. I all most hit a parked mini van that had died in the middle of the six lanes. I came to a screeching halt and he jumped out saying his battery was dead!  I promptly started cursing him. He was standing in back of his car looking for jumper cables!  I backed my car up about 100 ft. Grabbed my jump box, and hooked it to his battery and said start driving. I ran back to my car to follow him but he wasn't moving. He said it wont start. At this point I am looking to leave the scene. I was standing in The driver side door way when I heard it start. I looked up and saw a cabbie at full speed clip my car and heading right for me. I jumped out of the way and it ripped the driver side door off. The were 4 cars total involved. I was the only one who walked away.

Wow! That is such a scary story. I guess the rule is never stop on 76.

This morning At 6:00 AM on the Ben Franklin Bridge a truck or van was stopped dead, no lights, no flares and no driver. Good thing there was light traffic so you could see far ahead enough to change lanes.

Seeing this, if I ever stop to help anyone, I'll pull 20' in front of them

Doesnt matter. Chris was 20' behind the guy & the guy got it too... You just cant stop on an interstate... and if it's you that breaks down get the hell away from your car
