No "official" sponsor Just the campers within the club. @campfiresmiley
Its technically hosted by Full Moon Bus Club and the couple that organizes it told us about it at Granny's. Tyler, Greg and I went to this event last year. There were some Limbo folks there also. We'll be bringing our bikes... and maybe the canoe..?.. This is super close!
Greg- don't forget your bathing suit this time... there will be way more people from our club with cameras there this time!! LOL #@rofl3
Pet friendly sites are 210-219, 222, 224, 228 and some others. Highly recommend reservations for this event, especially for the pet sites. We don't need a pet friendly site so we won't get one of those so we can save it for those that need it... but I'll ask Park Ranger which regular sites are really close. I think we'll stay Fri & Sat night... is that wat you guys were thinking?
Is it only one bus per site?
Do we have to make our own reservations or are you doing it?
I'll only be there Fri and Sat also, leave sunday.
Too far... too expensive... but I'll go anyway.
Count me in for 1 pet friendly site. Who do I make reservations with?
This is a state park so rules are: 2 vehicles per site and up to 6 people for $20/night. If those in tents want to leave their vehicles at the office then they can share a site with buses.
I will call Belleplain tomorrow to find out how we can make reservations. I know with Atsion we had to take cash to the office. I don't know if this state park takes credit cards over the phone but I'll find out. I can tell you that when we went last year, there were plenty of open sites and there weren't many that pre-registered for this event. I realize we all want to camp together so I'll call and get details. (I copied and pasted the other post about "highly recommending reservations" from the Full Moon site, but they probably just want to know who all is coming). Its actually a very BIG campground with tons of sites.
I'm thinking we'll take Friday off so we can leave bright and early with those of you who don't work... Then we can enjoy more time in the lake 2@@cool
I talked to Belleplain today... we don't need to make reservations since we're in a less often used area of the campground. (most poeple want to stay right by the lake in "North Shore") Plus they have 160+ sites and never sell out.
They will take credit cards by phone if you prefer to make your own reservations. Pick from sites 211-229 (though you can change when you get there to any open site). Phone # on website.
If you want to see where we'll be (the Full Moon guy already reserved #226 which is the center of our area) go to website http://www.state.nj.us/dep/parksandforests/parks/belle.html and click Campground Map.
We stayed on site #225 last year and it was nice (and right by the bathroom!)

Glen - I know what you mean, its just nice knowing you'll definitely have a home for the weekend... and in your case, your vacation! Excellent! 2@@cool
Just a head's up, you'll be on the next road over from FMBC, which makes us one more road away from the bathroom. (Its the little icon with the guy that's taking a shower... across the road from 238). I'm ok with this if you guys are, since we'll all want to camp next to each other... just wanted to mention since we've been there and know the layout.
We'll be bringing our bikes, so a ride to the bath house is no biggie. Knowing Jack, he'll count the # of steps to get to the bathroom... =bana4_+

I dont care how far the bathrooms are.
I was thinking that 214 backs up to full moon's site not knowing how the layout is and if we can get through.
We can always switch sites or migrate to each others sites?
Cheers
Glen
This is the layout of site 213, 214, & 215.
On the right is 213, center where my bus is 215 on left sis 214 the sites aren't as far apart as the photo looks. I paid for 215 so if if you want to call for a site get 216, 217, 212,213, or 211. before they arre gone.
Glenn & Chriss are in 214
Shawn & I are in 215
Michelle & Greg in 213

Glenn & Chriss are in 214
Shawn & I are in 215
Michelle & Greg in 213
Rich in 212
I would suggest that the next sites to reserve is: 212, 216 & 217
We may fill up the whole road ourselves. You may want to bring some boards with you, some leveling may be needed but not much
@campfiresmiley
Gleen, Myself and maybe Shawn will be there on Thursday
OK. I'm reserving #212 tommorow

I don't think it matters if its pet free or not if your not bringing a pet.
The Whole area we are in is pet friendly.
216 is across from Jack and Shawn and is a smaller site.
There is a path to the Full Moon site from the back of it.

Not to worry, Shawn caries all that stuff on the list and MORE #@rofl3
Greg- its the camping list you've been dreaming about... only we don't have to write it from scratch! Yea!! Looks good too.
We are happy to bring both of our canoes for the club to use! But as Greg mentioned, we need another bus to put it on. Greg - you do know you'd have to take your roof rack off to put a canoe on it, right? Plus we are heading down Friday morning... when are you coming?
Joe - 216 or 210 would be the next to pick from near us and those are both pet friendly.
Definitely want to go get custard. But if I have my "home" all set up, maybe we could ride our bikes there! Maybe there's a short cut through the woods..?..
Maybe a short hike for ice cream :) :)
Yeah, all the good food I know we're bound to have... we're going to need some exercise!
Its about a mile from us... :)
BTW, JoeT and all may be splitting with me in #212
I'm sure Jack used to walk 10 miles to school... I'm sure he can handle it! #@rofl3
That's good you guys are sharing 212. Matt & Katie, Tyler??? what sites are you guys going to get? 216 or 210 might have your names all over it!!

Two Steps Closer To Camping
Got a Off clip on bug repellent thing tonight at Bath & Body for $8.80 then went to Home Depot and they have them for the same price but with refills &(rage_ you also have to buy AA battery for it.
Who is going on Friday, and who wants to cuise down together? We were thinking of a mexican night, going to try convincing matt to make his guacamole. Maybe ill make my Chili.
Yucel and I will be going Friday. We will head over to Belleplain before noon. Let's meet at Georgie's Grill & Dairy Bar (on Rt. 54 in Hammonton... right after you cross AC Expwy... if you get off AC Expwy, take exit 28)
For Mexican night we're making tacos. Hard shell tacos with lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream. 2@@cool
Mmmmm, I love guacamole!! Tell Matt I said, "PLEASE?!?!?!"
No ground beef???
That's right... vegetarian tacos! Hee-hee... just kidding! Definitely ground beef and that fabulous taco seasoning made by Old El Paso. Sorry, thought that was implied... I'll be more specific next time. ?/banghea?/

Didn't we think taco salads would be more managable last time we made tacos? Ill let Matt know u want the guac, not sure if we can make it when we get there or will have to prepare it a head of time. Was thinking about making chili. Though its not mexican, I think it will be a good choice. Who's got breakfast? Ill also bring smore stuff with DARK and milk chocolate and some other things to try!
