Ok, so in everyone's opinion,  what would it cost to go from this condition to a nice ride with having to pay people to do it? I realize that you can go to show car quality,  but Im not necessarily looking to do that.    *bills)

Im sorry if it's a stupid question    ?/banghea?/, I'm new to this.  It seems like there are a lot of people with a lot of knowledge about restoration on here though.

Thanks..  sorry again..      __rolleye_

without pictures it's kinda tough.

Maaco paint job (please get rid of the pink) will cost about $600 if there is no body work to be done.

put the motor back in yourself- no charge.

If it's Yucells bug, I'd trust him. If he's selling it for somebody, ask him to check it out for you and you can trust his opinion.

According to Yucell, the motor runs but it's out of the car and it needs heater channels replaced at the least.
Definately needs paint even if you like pink.. too far gone.

And what John said about Yucell being straight forward..... yup

Thanks, Jack..  I appreciate it. (    newbe!@# feels way out of her league..)

Also, Shawn thanks for the info.  I'd be one of those people who would need to pay for it all to be done for me, so that's why I'm asking.  Dilemma.. do I buy one that needs work, or buy one like Franks already done?  <sigh>

So y'all don't want the Pepto Pink to stay, huh???    #@rofl3     Gosh,  it sure would be an eye catcher, like the one on my avatar    ^jawdro%.

No??

1971 Super Pink Bug (auto stick), still forsale $500.  In the next couple weeks I will be installing engine and attempt to get it up and running/driving again, but of course, price goes up after that.  FYI frame/frame head is very solid and driver side floorboard is also good.  The price will include a replacement passenger side floorboard which currently has a battery tray missing.  Heater channels do have some rot.  I may also part this car because I can definately get more $$$$ if I part, but Id rather see someone restore it then chop it up into pieces  Bug is in Tabernacle, and has a clear nj title.
