I'll tell ya, that was very terrifying!!! I ran out of thee house.
They felt it all the way to toronto.
When you think of the power that was unleashed for that short amount of time covering the amount of territory it covered it is just mind-boggling.
Being my first earthquake I admit I was frightened as I ran out of the house. Seeing it on TV and experiencing it is a different animal, I?m even scarred to take my nap.
Imagine how the people in California feel when they get those big ones!
Our Hospital just had a groundbreaking ceremony with the Gov, Lt Gov and every politician from Delaware in attendance... if it was about 20 minutes sooner, would have been cool as soon as the shovel hit the earth for it to shudder...
#@rofl3. As politicians they would think they performed a miracle ..lol
Theres already been an after shock 40 mins after the original, half power

2@@cool. People in my building freaked. Chickens. I had to stifle my laughter. What would they do in a real emergency ..sheesh.
It was really creepy. All of a sudden every wind chime and suspended bells started to ring. It was like in one of those horror movies just before the creature attacks. &(rage_

I just got some disturbing pics from a buddy of mine with some of the damage he had because of the Quake. Makes you really feel lucky and value how precious life really is.

I was walking around work... b/c that's what we do... and when I got to the light displays (glass) I heard them jingle and thought nothing of it. Felt nothing. Then 5 people in my dept were like. ZOMG! Did you feel that? I was like no. Then we lost signal, and everyone got depressed.
Yes, signal was lost for quite a while. It seemed that people driving when it happened didn't feel it, from those I've spoken to. If you were sitting in a chair/standing/parked in a car you seemed to feel it more it seems.
I have 2 monitors on a pole mount on my desk. Those things were really shaking bad!
