The coordinator of this event would like SJVWC to attend this German parade.September 24th. Its a parade for General Stueben who trained the troops at Valley Forge. They are asking for nice old VW's especially convertables for the Parade. If VW owners interested some Philadelphia politicians would like to ride in the backs of the covertables. In return they can offer a half page in thier parade booklette and announced SJVWC during the parade (Needs a writeup from SJVWC) and display our SJVWC banner at parade booth. Its a great opportunity for SJWC to advertise and expand memberships, and spotlight our classic VW's!
Can a board member contact me at 609-969-1837 (Jonathan Long)to see if this is a possibility. I am already commited to going. I hope we can have a few members join us as well. The parade coordinator Eric Herr is very excited at the prospect of getting classic VW's in this parade.

Thanks for the info John, and I remember General Stueben very well, we had dinner once..
What say members, it's only 45 min. drive from my house and we could meet up on RT-73. There is a Big restaurant or Night club just after RT-130 we could meet at, I can't remember the name.
sounds like fun!

John, what time do you want to meet at the diner?

They're looking for convertibles to perch waving officials in. Frank & Howard are down for the count.
Howard's son, Bill W, Martin, Bob Miller, Bob (ghia vert), Jon & Tylers Things, Ramone, Joe T & Bob (Herbie) have ragtops.
The Strap will work with the hatch open.
Unfortunately sunroof bug dont let you stand.

My son Tim's (actually my daughter-in-laws) Heather's car is in the shop for a carb adjustment. So we/they won't be going. Shame, that's kinda close for them.

This is the same day as Taylors car show. I can't make either as it's our annual family Crab fest. &^beer&
