I know some folks around here have an interest in this crazy little event I do each year so I wanted to pop in and say that the signups for 2012 are open and discounted entry ($250 instead of $300) is available until the end of January.
If you've ever thought "that sounds like fun" or "I want to do that" don't wait, do it. I assure you at the end of it all you will never regret entering this event. The trip is fun, the cars are great, but the people are amazing and you will make new friends for life.
The "spec" car for this year is Station Wagons so all you Squareback owners should jump in. :) You dont have to have a station wagon, spec class is optional
And I'll let you in on a secret, although its for $500 cars......noone checks. The guy that runs this would rather see older weirder rarer cars as long as they aren't show queens. So come on out, and have fun.
Details at www.baberally.com Event is the first week of June.
I *will* be there!

That looks like a cool event! 2@@cool
That little bug in my photo was the club parts car that they sold me as a last minute replacement for my other car in 2007. The little bug that could won the event!

My chariot of choice for this year was picked up my a friend of mine down in VA this morning.
I thought I'd go for the obscure....because its so boring driving a car you can find parts for.

1968 Toyota Crown, straight 6, manual trans.
Wow. That car looks like it would even take a shine. Nice find. I have never seen one of those before.
"I have my co-conspirator in Va going to check this out. Potentially coming soon to BABE rally 2012.."
Glad you were able to pull it off!! That pic of the restored one is beautiful... Have you the same vision for yours?

Something similar I hope, it really depends on the condition of the car once I see it. But the current plan is to keep it stock with maybe just a few custom touches
Nice... you rarely see them around. Have fun with it!
