Well other than an attractive cut across the bridge of my nose, darkening under my eyes, a horrible headache (& across my nose & cheekbones), and inability to bend down without more pain  I'm just wonderful!    sad0013=

Karen I will be praying for you that nothing serious has happened and the pain responds well to over the counter pain meds.  I read the post on broken noses, a lot of good info.  I talked to my wife's sister who is a nurse.  She said due to the black and blue under your eyes and the pain you might want to visit the ER.  Let us know how you are doing.

&^rofl &^rofl   NO, I actually learned that weeks ago in about an hour!  ( Oh ye of little faith).  Even posted a video of me driving under my blog...     __rolleye_

Thanks so much for the prayers and kind thoughts, I really appreciate it.

It still hurts, swelling gone down some, so I took more Advil.  Kind of hoping it just "goes away."

This doctor sums it up...

As an adult if you sustain a nasal fracture you can expect significant swelling and bruising within a few hours of the injury.

Whether or not your nose is fractured may not be that important. If it still looks good, your breathing returns to normal and you have no other symptoms, fractured or not it doesn't require any treatment.

I recommend seeing an ENT surgeon 1 week after the injury when the swelling has settled to have a complete nasal exam. At this time, a closed reduction can be done if the nose needs to be straightened.

Pulling really hard on a wrench on the oil drain plug with your face way too close?

Or did you smash your face into another table?

Shawn is not a doctor, but he plays one T.V.   #@rofl3

My money is on a fist fight at a great shoe sale,  4$whack  or a manicure after the oil change.  Those Mani's can be brutal!

Seriously Karen, I hope your feeling better today.  It's a good day to go driving!  (*speeder
