Title: Freeze Your BUS Off! Campout Jan 14&15 @ Belleplaine State Park

SJVWC is having the first annual "Freeze your ~~Butts~~ Bus Off" Campout January 14 & 15 at the campground at Belleplaine State Forrest

Saturday Evening we'll have a Pot Luck dinner followed by a presentation of "Alone in the Wilderness" the story of Richard Proenneke who at age 50 went to live alone in the Alaskan Wilderness. This is an absolutely amazing documentary.
Depending on the temperature, we'll either show it outside or in the heated Add-A-Room Theater located on the south side of the Syncro #@rofl3

Post by: lovebus (jack) on January 02, 2012, 07:44:56 pm: I was so disappointed sad0013= when the hose I got from Amazon (see photo below) didn't work with my Coleman heater for the bus, I thought I was going to be stuck using the one pound bottles for the FYBO camp-out and a one pounder only lasts about 5 hrs on high.
Well I went out in the garage a bit ago to try it again and it worked 2@@cool and I just wasn't attaching it right #banghead

Now when my 5# propane tank gets here (also from Azon) I'll be all set and be able to run the heater on high all night and have the tank outside the bus.

I am such a snob. I like camping CampTent$...in perfect weather... 7&7sun or in a hotel.... 40sleep3

The last time I was winter camping was 40 years ago at Big Bolder for a weekend of skiing and had a blast but I also was in a 31' trailer (that I still have) with all the comforts of home.

I think we'll have a good time.

first layer: a throw on top of the cushions.
second layer: a survivor blanket to reflect body heat.
third layer: a sheet
forth layer: sleeping bag opened up to use as a blanket
fifth layer: another survivor blanket to reflect body heat.
sixth layer: a blanket.
I shouldn't have to pump heat into it as well, but if I have.....Oh, never mind. I should be nice an warm.

Yes you have.... If you went to the movies before 1992 you have.

All movie theaters used the same method of making popcorn and Coconut Oil was what they used.
It makes incredible tasting popcorn, but it was the smell that was the best part.

{_^soap In 1991/92 the "health police", the same people in government that ban smoking and subsidize the tobacco industry simultaneously,put the squeeze on the movie theaters because Coconut Oil has the highest saturated fat content of all oils. Nevermind the fact that you go to the movies once a month (at best) or that the replacement "Buttery Flavored Topping" is probably twice as bad for you....

Has anyone notice that the two biggest movie theatre chains are changing the oil they pop the corn in to one hundred percent coconut oil. I'd love to start a public uprising against a weeks worth of saturated fat on a popcorn, like 8 big macs and lots of other crazy terrible comparisons. Yeah coconut oil is almost pure saturated fat, the bad kind, for everyone, not just health nuts. Would you eat popcorn if you knew it was a weeks worth of recommended saturated fat, and that's before you put the butter on it. Most theaters use half corn oil and half coconut, they misrepresented the facts back in 94 when they stopped using pure coconut oil, telling us they're using vegetable oil. well what's new big corporations misleading the public. anyway check your local theater, turns out only the landmark uses a worthy oil, the rest are using half coconut and about to change to full coconut. of course this is all before you put the butter on. and since the theaters are making 90 cents on a dollar of popcorn, don't you think they can afford a decent oil? and oh yeah it tastes pretty good in coconut oil, but i'm boycotting now that I know. It would be healthier if they cooked it in beef fat, can you imagine that?

Coconut oil is a medium chain triglyceride fat which isn't processed by your liver and is the healthiest saturated fat you can eat and I cook all my food in it, not even canola or vegetable oil. (Descriptive explative removed) #@rofl3

We can only do 1 because the tent doors would face each other thus eliminating the entrance. I'll bring it just in case
