Put a plastic bag (trash bag)over the seat then put the cover on, on top of the bag.. It will slide on much easier.

Thanks Jack but thats not the issue I am having. On the bottom of the seat back where you close the vinyl up, there are three types of way to close them. Some years have the traditional spikes that you press the fabric to, some actually button up, but the early models have a bar that goes across the back of the seat that has a slot in it. The edges of both ends of the vinyl have a hard plastic strip along the end that has to go into the slot. It's a real pita to do and I'm looking for tips.

Thanks again Paul

Dish soap to make it slide in easier? ( I dunno, just trying to help. I put huge above ground plastic pool steps/ladder together that way.)
