NOMINATIONS FOR SJVWC OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS
Will be accepted at the July and August Membership Meetings
Its hard to believe that another year has past and it's time to select a new Board to run the club.
It's even harder to believe that I have been your President for two years, which means we get to pick someone else to take us forward
THE RULES:
The Board of Directors shall consist of five elected officers and three elected directors.
Officer positions are:
President,
Vice President,
Recording Secretary,
Treasurer and
Events Coordinator.

The term of office for all Officer positions will be one year
No Officer may serve more than two consecutive terms but may be reelected to an officer position after one year absence.
Officers vacating their positions due to term limits are eligible to run for Director positions in the election at the end of their term. (no absence is required)
Directors do not have term limits and may be re-elected each year.
The term of office of the elected member of the Board shall be one year.
If you are going to nominate someone, be sure they
WANT to run
This is my second year as President. Vice President Joe is also in his second term as is Glen our Treasurer and Secretary Michelle.
This means that with the exception of Events Coordinator Ramon, none of us is eligible to run for our current positions.
No Officer may serve more than two consecutive terms but may be reelected to an officer position after one year absence.
Time to amend the above By-Law to unlimited number of potential nominations despite held office with no required gap - all in favor, say aye.
Aye
Aye, aye sir
That rule is there for a reason. The founders in their wisdom wanted to keep the club from stagnating under one leadership group... Change keeps thing fresh. Brings new ideas
Besides, if we try and change it, Glen will kill us! X$Darth
We don't want fresh, we want old and stale.. &^rofl
Geez, I just got here and the whole place is falling apart #@rofl3

Do not just throw a name into the hat, you must check with the person you want to nominate to see if they will except the nomination.
