Great Deal on Some Hot Wheels..
It's a Real Fire Sale.. Sad but True.

So Spend the extra $100+ bucks and replace all your fuel lines.
and while your at it go the extra $200+ bucks and get some new fuel injectors and seals. "often overlooked"
Oh-ooo and don't forget to reseal your fuel Tank, hoses, and clamps, there all decades old, and all leak when fueled up. Vapors are just as bad if not worst, then raw fuel when it comes to igniting..
I have looked at and walked away from buying several of these tourched Vans, there usually a Total Lost.
So save yours now before it ignites.
It's your safety and hard earned work.. bawlin)0

thats getting to be more and more of an issue these days. But thn it opens up the controversy of which fuel lines to use, how gas is melting away the older seals and such.
Either way- as Jay says, replace your stuff or you will have to replace your stuff.

the first thing I ordered for Millie was new fuel lines... thumpup)-

Hope you ordered the "lined" fuel injection hose

The only reason they burn to the ground is, the gas keeps running out of the tank. Do this also.. http://www.sjvwc.net/forums/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=35

I absolutely agree with the fuel shut off valve
That being said, this one is nose down on a hill, Vanagons (execept Syncro), aren't gravity feed.
It's just burning.

My Guess..
This Fire has all the signs of an engine fire. On this 2WD Van the fuel lines enter the engine compartment just pass the right rear tire, typical of a Engine Fueled fire.
The windows etc are closed. The Top may have been open, but I'm guessing that the PopTop Blew open from the surge and combustion of the fire. In fact the Top support has blown off of the top and is bent towards the back about a foot, they mount more near the front corner. The Support folds in half foward and the elbow towards the rear when closing the PopTop.. You can also see the tent canvas etc has blown outwards from the fire combustion..
Thats a Hot Fire..
