Post by: vwtrike (Rich) on May 14, 2014, 06:27:12 pm
Is there any way to replace the pushrod tube without taking the head off. :confused04:;

Yes.
Remove the pushrod, rip the tube out with a pair of pliers and replace it with a spring-loaded or threaded expandable type

 While I've never done this, I believe, first, you have to take the valve- cover off, loosen the rocker- arm adjustment just enough to get the pushrod out.

My friend checked the tubes and found no leaks (good news).  We will replace in the Fall. He adjusted the valves, put exhaust on and started the trike. Next day with no rain I'll go for a ride.
Who sells the push rod tubes.
