So we got the old running boards off Charlie, and even though the holes line up exactly on the old boards to the new ones, we can't get the =cemcored\ new ones on the car!!!! =distroy bomb- 4thinking6 Holes on the boards won't line up to the car, even watched the video.. I figured something would go wrong because they came off so nicely for us, and the rubber was so easy to attach to the new boards.. -rofl\ You know, in car repair it's always like waiting for the other shoe to drop...
If anyone has any words of wisdom they would certainly be appreciated and welcomed!! help$# !hug

Line up the holes of the two running boards again. Then, check to see if the ends of the running boards line up. I'm betting they don't.
If they don't, measure how far they're off and you'll need to drill new set of offset holes in the new running boards.

Another way...
Assuming running boards are same overall length. Take one left and one right and line them up to each other upside down. Clamp them together. Drill new holes into new board using original holes as guides.
Repeat for other side.
Or if it's easier, just mark holes on new using old as guide, separate and drill new holes.

Thanks, Richard. We're going to attempt it again sometime this week. Hopefully it wont be bomb- =distroy by my "mechanic" if he gets frustrated again... -rofl\
