Title: Cars and coffee
Post by: 6T5 square on May 25, 2019, 04:46:28 pm
Went to cars and coffee in Mt Laurel this morning. It's funny to see all these middle aged farts with their coiffed hair, summer white shorts and knee socks with their corvettes thinking they are "car people". When you tell them that you did all the work on your car, they have nothing to say back about what they did on their cars.

Volkswagens- turning men into mechanics since 1938!

LOL! Very good John. - bet you made friends there!

& as it is not copyrighted, I think I will steal your saying there - will be a good sticker ( magnet) for the back of the bus or Bob.

Not going to a local car show today, besides the heat/possible rain, I think they are charging too much money for their show. Organizers forget it is the car owners who make the show, and they charge over inflated prices to them (?).

Yes the prices of shows are getting a little high. While some people are renting out the space for them, all we are pretty much seeing is an empty space in the parking lot. Shows like Flanders and even dubs on the boards at least give you a nice setting , places to eat and a little scenery but otherwise they are just revenue makers for the clubs. Cars and coffee is free, you can go in and out as you please and you don't have to have a Show car to participate. Although I did see one tool with a cordless buffer, shining his corvette at the show  n-o
