 Hey Apul
Jack mentioned something about unpaved sandy roads and possible ground clearence issues for lowered rides.
Title: Re: fall foliage cruise
Post by: 50split(paul) on September 28, 2010, 10:54:28 pm
oh well...i don't do sandy roads. have fun.
Title: Re: fall foliage cruise
Post by: Bugaru "JAY" on September 28, 2010, 11:01:49 pm
I think it's all paved country roads with a slight detour for some sight seeing on a short distance of sand, then back out to the paved roads again. If so I'm sure those that don't want to venture the sight seeing detore can wait alone side the paved roads for the tour to rejoin the cruise, thats what I'll probably do.  Maybe Jack can give us more info?

Post by: lovebus (jack) on September 29, 2010, 08:03:51 am
Yes there is sand, dirt, ruts, bumps, water. I do know a show car thats better the most that made the trip along with The Strap and if you don't go you wil miss out on something yaall never seen before and dats all I gots to say.
Title: Re: fall foliage cruise
Post by: 50split(paul) on September 29, 2010, 03:31:51 pm
is it just the detour like jay says that's an unpaved dirt road?
call me a wuss(let the comments fly)but i don't think the 52 would dig all bumpy, sandy, wet unpaved roads.
so how about another hint???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Title: Re: fall foliage cruise
Post by: lovebus (jack) on September 29, 2010, 05:25:31 pm
It is a 2mile. detour off the main road but we will be there an hour or more,  because it is the main part of the cruise and photo op.

No wuss or anything, you just need a everyday driver.

Yeah, cause the roads in 1950's Austria weren't anything like that

Ok, let's put the pieces toegther

Apples
no pets
Leaves
higher place
2 mile sandy, rutted, watery road

Got it. We are going through a pet-free drive thru U-pick apple orchard thats irrigated; In a tucked away corner is a plot devoted to a currently illegal substance being grown....

I'm apparently using the same analytical diagnostic techniques on BlueBelle, which is why it sits in my driveway :)

The weather is going to be nice Sunnday so the cruise should be a great one.
You will have a great outlook on things after this cruise.

Michelle said to me that ----- ---- --- was a place that she always wanted to see but her and Celly won't be able to make this cruise.

I was dumbfounded that she knew ----- ---- ---- was where we were going, I said how did you know that is where we are going?????
She said she was looking at the pictures on my camara that Jay and I took. Dhaaa..... I forgot they were still on there.

I also suggest we bring the club banner for an intersting picture.....

What is this Cruise.. Is it the same as the Apple Cruise? Will there be a Pumpkin Run Cruise, or since Pumpkins don't run, maybe a Pumkin Roll Cruise. Do we have to use manual labor and pick the apples ourselves, or can we just buy some? Is the off road section driving through the Apple Orchards?
