PRE-REGISTRATION is OPEN!!! Are we gonna get a group to register at June's monthly meeting? We should start getting a list of those who wants to get on the pre-registered list for the group discount. I'll have my ca$h on the 6th so i can register!
As in the past, For those that want we will meet up at Mc Donald's early then cruise to line up together on John F Kennedy Blvd. This will make it easy to park together. I'll be there early about 7:30 to get something to eat.

If you missed the meeting and didn't hear...
If SJVWC gets 20 peple to sign up we only have to pay $20 each (that's way better than $35 Original Price!) Mark will take $20 for now (and we'll cross our fingers we make the 20... I'm confident we will - we want the club trophy!!)
If you come to Stewart's for SJVWC's Birthday Party Wednesday 6/15 you can pay the $20 & register then. Also, some lucky winner at the Birthday Party will win a free entry to DOB!!!!
If you paid more than $20, Mark will take note of it and count you towards our 20. He will reimburse you later.
This is a great event and a great location. Bring the whole family... they can roam the boardwalk or go for a swim!

Is there a big air cooled turnout for this? Looking at the pictures they posted on the website from last year, there seemed to be far more pictures of water cooled. Maybe the photographer was biased? whistleegi

Its a great show Karen. The last 2 years started with rain early in the day which scared off a big chunk of aircooled cars. They turned out to be beautiful days! Even if you dont have your car yet, come hang out!

Yea Karen that might have been the case but if you look at the past years we had a really big air cooled turn out!

There is no Day-of-Show registering.
Registration will be closing soon so if you havent signed up yet, get to www.dubsontheboards.com and make sure you tell them you're with SJVWC.
I almost forgot. It's a Saturday show and he's made a deal for discount hotels and there is a huge after party at a local club that is SPONSORING the show. It's going to be a blast! Check the website for details

For the Family Suite Ocean VIEW:
$157.00 per night X 2 nights = $314.00 + 14% Sales Tax would total ? $357.96 divided by 2 guests = $178.98 per person for the weekend.
$157.00 per night x 2 nights + 2 extra persons @ $15/00 per person per night + 14% Sales Tax would total $426.36 divided by 4 guests = $106.59 per person for the weekend.
For the Family Suite Ocean FRONT:
$167.00 per night X 2 nights = $334.00 + 14% Sales Tax would total -$380.76 divided by 2 guests = $190.38 per person for the weekend.
$167.00 per night X 2 nights + 2 extra persons @ $15.00 per person per night +14% Sales Tax would be $449.16 divided by 4 guests =$112.29 per person for the weekend.
We do require a one night?s deposit in order to hold any suite. Once the deposit is received the cancellation policy will go into effect. It is important that everyone mention that they are with the DOTB

It's the boardwalk. There's benches every 25 feet, but you can bring folder if you want.

No choice there. This show is different because it's on the boards. You have to "pre-stage" on the street in N Wildwood. So we all meet at the McDonalds around the corner and pull in together. They stage us all at the same time.
BTW If you get the vert in time, I can get you a spot. (Someone dropped out)

I'll pretty much know by Wednesday night if I'm getting it, but it needs to be washed and buffed ( & insured! lol) before going to a show, trust me. Doubt I could have that done by Saturday. Thanks for the offer though, I'll keep you posted.

This is a *9rain) or 7&7sun event and last year it rained like ::fire:: in the morning but by 10am it turned out
to be a beautiful day 22CLOUD9) and the boardwalk was packed with people by 11am.
So if its raining in the morning, DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU from going to the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The suspense is killing me. I have owned 8 vws in the last 25 years or so. she needs to start buying and catch up with the rest of us. Everyone has to buy at least one cars that they regret and wish they never ever saw....it's a right of passage.

:) Too funny!!! No, I haven't made the leap yet, but am having George check out a car for me tomorrow (Wed). It could be the one I buy, and according to some on here ( you all know who you are..lol) it could be the one I regret because it's an autostick!! But it's a vert, so that's a plus... Yes, I need to take the plunge already, don't I? Will advise you what happens so as not to keep anyone in suspense too long, but still can't figure out how to post pics directly to the forums!!!!! Actually, as has been previously mentioned (at least a half dozen times) we are prestaged on the street and are escorted by the police in one (very cool) parade onto the boards. It takes time to get 200 cars in order, especially if there are "difficult" people to deal with whistleegi You see what I'm sayin'?

Us Millbillies call Rt 347 Old Stage Coach Road. The WaWa is in between Bricksboro (The old Chambers Homestead) and Dorchester on Rt 47. When you all cross the little bridge in Bricksboro going south, the field on your left is still called Chambers' Field. There was a house on the right that burned down a few years ago. My dad grew up in that house! That must be why I like the smell of Blue Mud!
