Anybody interested in going to Punkin Chunkin??? http://www.punkinchunkin.com (http://www.punkinchunkin.com)
This would be a really cool trip... Down to Cape May, ride the Ferry to Lewes DE and then 3 days of insanity watching incredible machines hurl pumpkins thousands of feet through the air!
Im going to figure out what it all costs, and I'll let you know...soon
We would go down Thursday Nov 1 and return Sunday Nov 4th.
Who's interested?
-
.
I'd probably be interested in going. But not sure about Thursday - Sunday..
I'm sure I might have a Honey due List to do.. 2nd thought maybe just a due list, hold the Honey #@rofl3
Oh-oooo and I love Ridding the Ferry, can I bring my fishing pole?
.

I once watched it on TV. It looked like a lot of fun. **^bana0 They have teams from all over the USA. You have to pay attention to the ferry schedule. I think the ferry runs on a different schedule in the fall. :confused04:;

I think your looking at a $300 trip.

That's what I was thinking. But it's not a Belleplaine trip
it's a huge event and it wouldn't cost much less to just go in a car for a day.

A day trip I could handle

Yeah... not something you want to try
it'll take 3hrs sitting in traffic to get in. It's like the Super Bowl

Are you planning on camping at their site? "All units must be self contained" ( with bathrooms..) per their webpage if an RV or camper. Unless you're tent camping, of course.
"Whether you?ll be pitching a tent or parking your RV, reserve a space to sleep under the stars. RV or Camper Registration can be purchased at a $65 daily rate or $175 for all three nights, and tent registration can be purchased for at a daily $45 date or $125 for all three nights."
$65 a night with no hook-ups, and must be self contained. What a bargain. lol

Thanks for flying one of your planes over Glen, and what Shawn said, it gives me second thoughts about going.
Second thought: I think I won't.

Off topic. I was looking at prices of campgrounds and the prices have gone out of sight, I cant believe it.
I remember camping at the Water Gap all the time for $5 a night, with elect. (NO smartass remarks about how old I am &(rage_ )
-
Yes.. like hotel room prices.
I think I'll pass on this one too.

#@rofl3 Now who would think of doing that? byeby.,
-
this sounds like a good time i always wanted to camp there
-
OK so Punkin Chunkin's a dead idea...
With chitty hotels at $100 per night $35 at a campground is a steal
-
Were the hotels around there that much? That's crazy.

Jack hijacked the thread... I was speaking generally abou pricing of hotels/campgrounds
-
Sorry, I thought you were referring specifically to the hotel prices around the event. :confused04:;

While I was speaking generally about pricing of hotels/campgrounds in general, speaking specifically about the hotels at the Punkin Chunkin event wasn't out of the question whistleegi
