 Rick:

Try and make the Club's meeting this Monday at the Lampost.
Your problems can be addressed directly.

I don't do Facebook either, but for some reason, its seems like it's the best working model for us.

No worries and I understand, I prefer Facebook over this particular website. It?s outdated, but we have years and years of info that would need to be transferred some how.

I hope and admin can help you with your problem, they should be responding within a few days!

I do not do Facebook unless I absolutely have to. To me it is a site dedicated to making people miserable. It is called "Social networking" when in fact it is "anti-social networking".  But thanks for getting back to me, at least I know I am online!

I believe there are some issues on the admin side. For instance I can no longer receive email alerts.

Are you also on our Facebook? People may be quicker to respond there.

As the title suggests, I joined and paid the 30.00 dues since I thought this would be a great place to get some local info and possibly reconnect with people I knew years ago in the VW racing field. But I have only gotten one reply to a question about machine shops and I have realized I cannot send pm's nor can I even access the profiles of other members. So did I waste that 30.00? The money was taken out of my account instantly.

I wonder if they are the same owners that had the place when it was out on Carranza Rd. and 206? I bought a T/O 6.5 diesel engine from them that turned out to have some issues so they took it back and he had his son hone the cylinders. He did it with the crankshaft in and then just bolted the rods right back on!!!! Wiped out the bearing in minutes. They did supply me with a new crank and bearings but told me they did not want to see the engine again. That was fine with me after that treatment. I had dealt with them for 20 years before that with no problems as a customer and a competitor at the track. That deal was probably 20 years ago or close to it so that "kid" that did the honing would now be the owner if it is the same family. I guess I can call and see what they say about doing the job and prices. I will not mention the past.

I am looking for a machine shop to flycut heads somewhere in the south Jersey area. I am just getting back into VW's after being away from them for 40 years and the one I have now has a set of heads that needs cleaned up. All the old places I dealt with are all gone.

COME AND CELEBRATE SJVWC 18th  YEAR BIRTHDAY PARTY AND BBQ

A quick look back at history-On June 4, 2005, at the Prestige VW dealership car show, I met Jack Kessel. It was there we discovered we had both formed a VW car club that very same month. The following week we met again at "Punch Buggy," Atco's all-VW event.
Since Jack was registered as an offical car club with VW of America. We stuck with his name instead of "South Jersey Panzers", (which is a lot cooler). We met a Prestige VW until we outgrew it. then we move to Racks, which was the third name change and ownership. Then to Geets and now at the LAMP POST.

  PICNIC DETAILS:

PLACE: Washington Lack Park, Lot C- Same place as every other year.
DATE: June 12 on a Sunday.
TIME:  11:00-3;00 pm.
MENUE: FULL catered BBQ-(Details to follow.)
WHAT'S IT COST?  Not much. More about that later.
GAMES? Of course. With prizes!

IN ORDER TO GIVE THE CATERER A (APPROXIMATE)  NUMBER WE NEED TO KNOW IF YOU (AND GUESTS ARE COMING). I know it's sometimes hard to know that far in advance, but it is better to guess YES than a no.
