I assembled my roof rack today... I dunno how much I like it. Had to squeeze it all together to make it fit. Wood is light color instead of dark... I guess it will look better with stuff on it.

Wood can be stained. Just have to strip it correctly, restain and seal.

good idea, might not be a bad idea to throw a couple of coats of urethane on it just to seal out the moisture.

Maybe it will grow on me, I mean I don't know how dark woold would look on a light car. Bob is your rack light wood? Dad said mine is possibly pine. Your bug is light blue right?

I was actually thinking about staining while assembling it. Maybe I'm just too picky. I'm trying to convince dad to just put the grill on the top of my car, so we can bring both bugs to the picnic... maybe we can have mom drive the Suburban  ::)
