'70 Beetle for Parts $250
« on: August 25, 2008, 06:23:25 pm »

Grete was my daily driver through college, but when the rust on the underbody got to be too much I took her off the road and she's been sitting since.  I'm the third owner, the engine has about 55,000 original miles.  The engine is all stock and still turns by hand.  Interior is in decent enough shape considering the passenger-side door won't close.  It even has the one-year only bumper-mounted rear reflectors.  The tires are all dry-rotted.  Asking $250

It's in my parent's backyard and it's the stock single-port motor.

Joe, A 70 is a dual port motor unless you changed it.

Jack,  According to vw-resource.com they didn't get a dual port in the US until '71.   ???
