Anyone planning on going to the Carlisle import show?(RACERS NEEDED)

I was talking to a friend of mine who works for Carlisle productions and heads up the Mopar,and Import/kit car nationals He told me another friend of mine who has just purchased the local 1/8 mile drag strip is going to Have the imports & kit cars there! however it is going to be a make or break deal if there isn`t enough of a turn out it could be the last Friday  night drags for this show . My friend has put a lot of time and money into the track and has installed a 100 ft concrete pad  @@@ @@@ he really is going all out to make it nice!!! Sooo please spread the word to your racer friends and also racer fans too!! Thanks. Oh the date for the racing is May 16 starts in the afternoon I`ll check on exact times.   The show runs to Sunday the 18th . Johnny  drive&&      Update I just spoke to the track owner he said they will open the track at 1:00 pm on Friday  and I was wrong the pad is 150 feet long!!!!!!!! BO** BO**

I'm going up and will check it out for sure.

You should post that on thesamba under the upcoming shows to really get the word out.

Thanks, for reminding me!  :icon_thumleft: This will be the first time drag racing has been offered at this show would be nice if the aircooled cars kicked som butt!! drive&&  By the way carlisle has had a club challenge at all of there events the club with the most preregistered cars get a free 20x20 tent set up at their location to be used as a head quarters during the show. A really good place to post about it would be on speedsterowners.com They have a huge showing at Carlisle every year - apparently it's comparable to VW Classic weekend in SoCal to the speedster kit guys. We went a few times & will probably go a few more, just not this year.  :(  Too much work in the shop & not enough hours in the week. Anyway, try posting the info. on the forum I listed. I think you'll get a good response if word gets out early enough.
