Whats the world coming to? This morning about 7:10am on my way to work I was stopped at a stop sign and got broadsided by a beat up f150 pickup truck as he was trying to turn and missed the turn. He was trailering some construstion gear. I got out and asked him for his paper work as he was trying to back his truck away from mine. He said I have it, wait a minute. Then I sensed that he might try to run, I stood infront of his truck and said your not going anyplace the  :police: are on the way. He then actully pushed into me with his pickup in attempt to make me jump out of the way. I replied with a yell and told him to STOP and shut the truck off. His next move truely did shock me  shocked as he nailed it and the truck lunched towards me, he hit me and I bounced over his right drivers fender. As i was geting up I tried to get his tag number but only could get two letters as the construction gear quickly blocked my view. Shortly after a couple of guys that was standing infront of the Wawa came over to see if I was ok, and said that they saw everything and couldn't beleive it. Great but no help as the guy was now long gone..  My buddy and I along with the cops spent a few hours combing the area looking for the guy but no luck. Great just what I need another repair bill to have auto body work done.  m-d2 The truck was the older style ford around late 80's faded dark dusty blue almost black F150 pickup single cab, no cap Pa Tages 1st two leters were YN the driver was a white male with a crewcut about 22 years old and I'm guessing about 5'10 ish tall and about 170lbs. If you just so happen to see this type of F150 please try to get the complete tag number and let me know. Word of caution, in the event that you ever get into an accedient get the tag number make model and year as ASAP. Because I never would have beeived that there are drivers out there like this. I'm just so-oooo pissed that I let the guy get the freak away!  fig2

WOW, you had some luck on your side Jay that he didn't really hurt you bad. What an AH. I bet he dont even have a drivers lisense or he had other warrants  out on him, thats why he ran. I know, he knew you owned VW's and he don't like them.

Yea-aaaaa I bet he was one of those mussel car dudes that dislikes Herbies  :icon_puke_l:. I'm still pissed at myself  m-d2 for letting him get by me and not nailing the bastard! I missed a shift on this one but trust me I'll be twice wiser next time. I still can't beleive that he tried to run me over!

WOW not the kind of thing I want to read especially about someone I know!
It could have been much worse considering he was aiming for you. Cars can be replaced but not people. THis A-hole needs to get caught and given a long visit at the "gray bar hotel", with a BIG roommate named Bubba who likes his sexy crewcut. Hopfully that will happen soon, we don't need dorks like this running around loose. Just glad you are OK.

Jay ... glad you're OK. You got the make,model and color of the truck along with 2 digits of the tag. That should be enough for DVM of PA to narrow the field and figure out who did this to you. Not only did he hit your car but he "knowingly" tried to run you the hell over. That's not something that should be taken lightly. I hope the Police use some resources and find this tool. He needs to be found and prosecuted.

What were you driving that you couldn't chase after him? You better be careful cause some times they try to get YOU for hitting them. One of my co-workers was involved in a hit and run. Same thing the guy fled, co-worker got the make model color but none of the plate info. So he went to report it at the PO. What do you know couple days later the guy comes to the same PO to report the co-worker saying that he was hit... does that make sense? Anywho, best of luck. We will all keep our eyes open for that pick-up.

Man, if I was a witness, I would have jumped in my car and trailed that guy while callin 911 on my cell.
Glad your ok, it MIGHT make me think twice to stand in front of a truck again again if someone smacked my bug.

Jay- Any news on the vw that ran you down? I've told several friends and they were shocked that someone could actually do that to anyone. I was thinking ... contact the media. Call a local TV station and explain what happened to you. Maybe they'll run the story and someone will turn the vw in.

Thanks all for asking and your concern. No the S.O.B that tried to run me over after I asked him for his drivers, and ins info was never found. The accenident happened at the stop sign by the old Wawa on Jackson rd in Atco. Late 80's early 90's F150 POS pickup Pa tags first two letters was "YN" was headed east bound and decided at the last minute that he wanted to turn. He was hualing one of those large air compressors about the size of a VW no breaks on the trailer and he couldn't make the trun at the speed he was traveling. I guess my van was the only option for breaking. I was facing North Bound. After he crashed into me he tried to back up but cars behind him kept honking at him to let them know that they were stopped behind him. I sensed that he might try to make a run for it and stood infront of his truck trying to block his escape. He was now facing South and after he ran into my person twice last time knocking me off my feet last I saw him he was still headed south. Maybe by now he made it to the south pole with all of the other A-holes.

lots of the WaWas have security cameras any chance they were pointing in the right direction?

I know that old Wawa, it's a Speedy-Mart or whatever now.  I doubt the have security cameras facing the intersection though.
