Beetleboi -Greg-

So as you know, I've been trying to find a job where I can make more that 9.25 an hour. So here's the scoupe.

I've been told by a little birdie that I'm getting a call from Harrah's saying that I got the job.

The Good

13.50 an Hour
40 Days a week
Paid time off after 90 Days
GREAT BENEFITS I don't think there is anything NOT covered
Use of their gym
I will be able to pull my Engine in October *if those who volunteered are still available to help*
I will be able to patch that hole behind the window
I can pay my debt off and move out
Two days off a week instead of one

The Bad

3-11 Shift
I'm not allowed to request off during the summer

That way it looks like the good out powers the bad.

I'm hoping I can have Sunday and Monday off, that way I can go to meetings and band practice and Sunday car shows/events
I'm a little bummed out that I will not be able to do the Collingswood Cruises or Dairy Queen next year. If I'm there long enough and some one leaves that opens up a spot for me to get the 9-5 Shift which is my dream shift.

I'm a little bummed out but this will give me a chance to grow up and move out. Plus more $$$$$$$ = More  vwlogo s

WOW, do you sree that Jim?

Greg, if you move out then you have a lot less money to spend because of all the new bills you will have. I think you should stay at home.  BO**

MATURITY: That point in your life when you realize "Living at home WAS all it was cracked up to be!"

Casinos aint a bad place to work...and seniority comes before you know it.
The VWs you can sleep in are more gooder

Greg I've been in food service for 35 years and I've found that there is no such thing as a weekend or a holiday or regular hours. My shifts have included 10pm-6am, 2 am-10am, 4 am-noon 2pm-10 pm,etc. I've worked every concievable holiday, had split days off, 21 hour days and other kinds of abuse not suitable for this venue. And yes I have worked the casinos. Your getting into a line of work that operates 24 hours a day/ 7days/365. Day hours are good but believe it or not , now a days, the best part of your package is the full medical (we can all agree with that!)
Like you said, it's all about growing up. Work your shifts, don't be late, and become the go to guy they need. Always remmember, anybody can be replaced, anybody can be fired.

Best of luck on the new job and don't worry about moving out just yet. (sorry Jim) Save some money up and it will go alot smoother.

Ok forget about the room....sign me up!

Now back to reality!
I've been self employed for 21 years and I hate it when somebody says " wow nice to be your own boss!!" I have more bosses than anybody, that includes every customer, paper supplier, landlord, press parts supplier, state of NJ, EPA, my accountant and a host of others! At the end of the week all those hands are out there waiting to be filled with cash and if theres any left I might get some too! I never thought I'd say it but working for a good company isn't such a bad idea!

You have a chance to get a really good job that has benefits ( been so long I have to look that up in the dictionary to see what it means!) Don't sweat the small stuff like lousy hours or a restricted work schedule. Believe me I've worked just as hard and for less and in this economy lately its been a lot less! You  have a chance to run with this one and in a year or so when you've packed away some of those "green dead presidents" you will be much better off. If you want to move out wait until you and the job are working well together, pile up more of those dead presidents and then you can make the move in style! You might even want to invite the club over to check out your new crib! - OK bad idea for the landlord! still think about it and in the mean time think how good Bridgett is going to look with all the "Car parts Over time Cash!"

OK thats my  2CENTS

s#r  Geeeez, thanks guys... I never knew how easy I had it when I was self employed. You guys make me feel bad that I never worked that hard. I even thought it was nice being my own boss.  BO**

Close the shop on Thurs. night and go racing all weekend, work on the race car on Monday then on customers cars Tues, Wed & Thurs.  Well I guess it was boring doing this week in and week out.

Good thing ya got access to the Gym.  I can just see the fridge contribution now: frozen pizza, ice cream, left over take out and etc.

Yes Jack, I did see the move out. Guess he'll be back to use the garage though. javascript:void(0);

Bob you gotta check out the room first.javascript:void(0); After he moves out I may have to pull it away from the rest of the house and burn it down.javascript:void(0);
I don't know how fast my car will go.
It's more important that I know how fast my car will stop.

Jim he did mention something about "snails & fish" so I guess the room has a "moisture" problem! Guess moving in isn't such a good idea!

Bob he's just talking about my organization style. I beleve that having everything on the floor is the easiest way to find things.  ;D Where dad has everything in boxes I can't find my GT Tips if they were on the floor they'd be easier to find.
