Hello all, I just swapped my bug truck for a 4 seat manx style dune buggy. I know there are a couple guys in the club that have dune buggies. The question is how many are running with a reconctructed title and how many are running with a plain beetle title? How do you get the collector car triangle when the application from the state shows that the vehicle can't be any older than 25 years? (mines a 72) How do you avoid inspection? Any pionters before i make more of a mess out of this situation than i have to.

You can't get collector for kit or replica,  or reconstructed vehicle.

There's got to be a way to work the system...3 cars at Englishtown had the triangle??

This came up before and DMV has tightened the collector car registration. If you had it before this you get to keep it if you renew every year. If you do find a way around it, let us know. Get the form and try, you have nothing to lose to give it a try,
