Anyone in the club have a pair (just need 2) of wheels and tires that would fit a 63 Bus?  Just need something good enough to tow dolly it home.

Not entirely splitty knowledgeable, do they use the same wheel bolt pattern as bay window buses?

Barring that does anyone happen to have a smallish trailer available (something I could pull with a Tahoe)?

If they are the same, you can use the wheels that are on my bus. (bay)

My trailer is still broke.
I don't have to go to work in the morning....

Did some research and found out they are wide 5, but thank you very much for the offer.

I think Im just going to rent a trailer, its about 2 hours away and thats a long scary tow on a tow dolly, expecially for the vehicle in question.

I'll keep y'all posted if I go through with this.

Thanks Jack!

I'll debate it with myself for a bit.  The more I think about it Im not so sure how this thing will do on a dolly for a long trip and my dolly has had a bit of a curse lately. One car dropped off it on the highway when a friend borrowed it and another friend blew his motor when he borrowed it.  Ok the blown motor had nothing to do with the dolly but it seems none of its latest outings have been trouble free.

Yup, sounds like a trailer is in order.

Just not quite willing to take the risks I used to :)

The dolly is best for local use and very small light cars which *don't* have questionable running gear (unlike the bus I'm hoping to pick up)

I heard all the cool kids around here were getting busses so I figured if I was getting another VW I'd better find a bus.
