Grayhound Bus Frieght
« on: October 29, 2009, 12:42:00 pm »

I have not heard any discuss discount frieght options. So I figured I would share my last purchase an frieght cost.
I have been looking for a rear seat and seat back for my vert since I bought it, not in a rush, but I knew I needed one. So I was always keeping an eye out for a deal. It seamed the the west coast prices were always cheaper then here, about 40% cheaper. But then there is shipping. Then I needed a seat to fit 74-79 vert. Not so many of those around. Everything  I saw close was $200-$250.  Anyway saw on Samba a seat out of a 76 for $100....  In Ca. Not knowing what shipping would be, I e-mailed the guy and he told me $85 UPS. Now we are almost $200. I told him I could get one here for around that, he then suggested possibly Grayhound frieght ? Never had used them before, he said he would get me a price.  $55 shipping, and $100 for the seat, I told him sold. He shipped it last Friday, and I picked it up Wed night at the bus station in  AC.  Not bad from L A.   So the next time you need something oversized for your car, Check out Grayhound frieght, it might save you some money.

That is good to know! I have heard of others using them for freight also with good results as long as you are willing to pick it up at your local station.

drive&& Used Grayhound twice this year, bought fenders from the west, pretty painless, they were delivered to the local depot in about 5 days. They have size restrictions but handle large items  pretty well. sqBk

Yup...Great service. Just picked up a hood for a Torino. Heavy beast. Shipped from Michigan, undamaged $95. The terminal in Mt. Laurel is really easy to deal with.
