How about a SJVWC Cruise?
« on: February 26, 2011, 12:32:08 pm »

I just got back from an 8 day Caribean Cruise that included 3 islands. -(I didn't see one VW.)

My wife, the friends that we cruise with and I, all agree that this is the best vacation for the money and the most fun you can have. One couple had 29 cruises under their belts, this was our fifth.

The thought occurred to me that it could even be more fun if all my VW homies were there. Cozumel is still loaded with VW's.

My favorite line is still "Carnival" -The Fun Ship. Prices start as low as $270 per person (inside cabin) to $900 for a suite. That's for a 4 day cruise.

Departure ports are: Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Tampa and Jacksonville. You can drive to Jacksonville in less than 12 hours, if you didn't want to fly.

I'm thinking that maybe like; next year in February (dead of winter)?  6^6rain

Think of it; basking in the sun by the ships swimming pool. listening to a live band. All you can eat in a luxurious dinning room, Broadway type entertainment. 24 hour pizzeria's, sushi bars, deli, a bakery that rivals anything in Europe and all FREE. you can now even bring your own wine aboard.  7&7sun

Sounds good, but I would prefer a 4 day cruise.

It's more important that I know how fast my car will stop.

All ports have covered multi-level parking garages. Some motels offer free parking and shuttles to the port.
Some airports have free shuttles to the ship if you fly in.

The only problem if your flying with parts, is a 50 lb limit on your luggage. If your driving, whatever you can carry or wheel on the ship is OK, after a security check for drugs and exlosives  1!bomb
