1978 Champagne Edition Bus
« on: November 21, 2013, 08:03:17 pm »

Champagne Anyone?

I think I'm going to part with my Bay Window. After the rebuild of Eeyore's motor took all the money I had for the Champagne's transformation it's just sitting in the garage.

It's rot-free (just surface rust) and in amazing shape. It had been hit in the rear and I've replaced the right rear quarter, and the entire back end with an integrated custom hitch. (see blog for details http://www.sjvwc.net/forums/index.php/topic,7871.0.html )

The left rear corner half still needs to go on and then some minor body work and it ready. I have all the parts to complete the body.

I have more than $2000 in brand new parts like window & door seals, scrapers & trim, most  still in boxes

The motor has been resealed, new clutch & pressure plate and the tins are powder coated.

This bus is really close to being a beautiful ride. I don't need to sell it, I just feel bad having it sit there.
It should be on the road.

Im not listing it anywhere for a while. I'd like to see it go to a member

Let me know if you're interested.

 Hmmmmmm.. Would you consider a couple of Vanagons in Trade.. ?  :confused04:;
