Wow! is all I can say....
Im exhausted so I'll post more on Tuesday....
Thanks to EVERYBODY who came out to get the Champagne ready for it's new owner... My daughter Steph (LoveBug)
She's essentially in shock. It hasn't sunk in yet, but the Champagne has a name! Argyle :-)
What an amazing couple of days. Some highlights?.....
Friday night 3Gear & Barile came over to get a jump on the body work... We were out there till 1AM
Saturday: Jack came to make sure we had "Adult Supervision"
Richard was all over this bus!
Dave got his a** kicked by the rear brakes but hung in there to show em who was boss! ?/moon2..
3Gear is now a Type 4 assembly EXPERT!
Celly shifted gears from master mechanic to Master Instructor... When Steph and Steve showed up Celly went right into "Teacher" mode and took the time to show the kids how (and why) things needed to be done.
Thanks Celly &^beer&
Joe T did a great job applying Rust Bullet to the engine bay
Joel Fouschee & his dog Sydney came all the way down from Ewing just to be amazed by the whole concept of restoring a VW in one weekend! =+grouphu9
Katie (Barile's girlfriend) worked on Barile for 2 hours to get him to let her help him do body work... to no avail.
Ant(grungeant) jumped in and took control of the fuel tank re-install with Richard while Greg & Steve did the fuel hoses
Greg went from parts cleaner to INSTALLER! & Brake Bleeder technician.... Way to go Greg! Even Gregg's Matt was impressed! LOL
