Hi Folks, It's been to long since I posted anything. Mostly because I haven't done much with the bug. It hasn't been because I lost interest or anything like that. It's just that I've been really busy with other stuff.... like rebuilding a second CNC lathe, as well as upgrading my mill.

I'm still making the SyncLink throttle systems. I recently came up with what might be a solution for bugs with heat (the original setup only worked on bugs without heat tubes).

Anyway, I have my bug completely stripped and I'm currently working on getting the body work done and get it ready for paint. In the process of stripping the car, I found that the roof had a couple dents. I was able to dolly out most of the dents, but the area still needs putty. To make my life easier, I needed the body lower to the ground so that i can work on the roof (applying the putty, sanding, etc). This is what I did tonight after work........

Great to see you back Pete. As always I'm sure your work on the body will be a work of art. thumpup)-
I don't have to go to work in the morning....

nice Pete.

I can relate to being the one man shop- my daughters hate working on cars.

Good luck with the roof. They can be frustrating. Long sanding boards help tremendously.

SyncLink with heat... Now you have my interest

Again,   very nice Pete, helpful that the body can float around like that with the straps, probably will help with realignment when it goes back on the pan...
