there was a lot of people around the "tent". He got a nice end spot in the show area so the whole set up was easily accessible . It looked real nice. And I heard Katie slept up there on Saturday night!

Really Good Show.

Steveo, John,  - Thanks for digging up the pictures off thesamba site,

Unfortunately, got a late start as Katie was doing a fund raiser, I got things loaded up  - it's always more than what I think.

This was really Deja vu for me, this is about the same pic I took the year before leaving to camp  with the club when "The Accident" happened.
Road test to pick up Katie at 3:30 went well so I felt good about the rest of the drive.

It took us , a little more 3 hours to get there, as I was avoiding all highways, I did not plan to go over 55mph - too scary. However, I did make a wrong turn and went on a highway (for about 5 minutes) with speed limit of 65mph. BMW flew up  and rode our tail and the guy was making all sort of gestures as to why I was going go slow - he floored past us after a bit..... being a foot behind my trailer does not make me go faster!!!   &(rage_ &(rage_. I reminded myself again, I just need one more accessory for Bob, .....

Surface to Ground Missle

Got there  just before dark.  Following the signs  at Flanders, We had a choice between the  ?Loud Campground? or the ?Quiet campground? ? easy choice.  The place was all parked up, and even tho? I made him aware I was pitching a tent, the organizer wanted us to camp on the paved road!  I said   no way, and things were a little heated  [gunfiring\.   I told him I can camp in the middle of the campground, he said ok. This was good as a few other campers came and parked  as we did.

We were unaware of a a string of people who watched the whole process of us opening the car camper, until they gave a round of applause when we finished clap2-* clap2-* clap2-* clap2-* clap2-* clap2-* ? it was pretty funny, ? and quite a different response from some other people I know who have watched Katie and I pitch a tent??   whistleegi

We moved as quickly as we could cause it was getting real dark, and did not eat yet

Reheating chines food ? great with hot sauce

Katie getting sleeping bag ready

After eating we walked around the campgrounds, and met a lot of nice people. We ran into Jeff in the clubhouse and said we were the only SJVWC people there..  then he quickly asked for our  !!sleep1.

People there were nice, heard some great stories ?  Bummer we were too stuffed to eat the s?mores which were offered to us. @campfiresmiley

We went to  bed around 10:30 we were really tired. I have to say, it was one of the quieter campouts I?ve been to.

Rained that night,  *9rain)  and all morning was a heavy drizzle.

Yes, I get the ground tent, she gets the penthouse... Q3surrende

Pancakes for morning breakfast, turned out great   eat.gi+]

Some people thought the show would be cancelled, and I was thinking that too. But cleared up, and the show was fantastic.
This was All Aircooled Gathering 10th anniversary,   the sun came out, 7&7sun and it warmed up a lot ? car wise,  it was a huge turnout.

Saw some great classics,

but unfortunately, my camera battery quit half way through the show.

Howard and John showed up, and I have to say, Ned was looking, really, really nice!  John did amazing work on him.  Glad Ned went to someone who is so dedicated and talented.

Also met a lot of nice people at the show ? some from the Oil Drippers camp-out from2 years ago ? that was cool.

Made it back safe and sound, and the backroads to home brought us through some very beautiful old towns, and most importantly, we made it home safe!

Thanks Jack,

Strangely enough when I was at the Hagley car show in DE, a guy came up to me and said many many years ago, his company made the fabric for the company that made this tent - He said it is waterproof, & told me the name of the fabric - I should have written it down but thought I could remember it ( NOT!  %$oldcit) - but I water proofed it after I got it - not knowing this.

At Flanders, Katie said no rain came through.... but no tent is 100%   *9rain)

Let me repeat that.........

I was thinking from the surface of my roof, to the ground beneath his car.   I like to see things be blown   UP
