1971 - 1973 ( & other?) fuel evaporative system

   ~Total length

   1973 Super Beetle (1303):  187 cm of fuel line with a 5.5 mm inner diameter, and 402 cm of fuel vacuum line with a 4 mm inner diameter
    1971-1972 Super Beetle (1302) fuel vacuum line are somewhat different.

     31: 60 cm
     32: 126.5 or 95 cm
     33: 50 cm (x2)
     34: 30 cm (x2 = one piece 60 cm long)
     35: 60 cm
    36: 13 cm

The most important piece is NLA  - the canister. The Samba has some good ideas about how to refurb an old one. Folks use charcoal for a fish tank filter by cutting the old one open and cleaning the old gunk out, putting new pellets in and gluing the thing. Many cars have ripped that part of the system out. Not having the right hoses positioned properly causes some dangerous issues besides a gas smell (not the gas smell after Jackwagen eats chipped beef). haha
