G'day folks!
You'll see a lot more shows being posted recently and I'd like to explain my reasoning. I would like to give members as many options as poosible. When I first got the squareback on the road, it was a basket case. There was a local cruise that was happening every Friday night at a chick-fil-a in my hometown that I would drive by and say "someday, I'll go." I finally got the square running and driving and I said to myself- screw it. I'm going to the cruise just to see who I can piss off. Well, it seems the only pissed ones were the old farts with the Boyd Coddington type cars. Most of the guys wanted to see my car and how the hell the engine could lay flat like that.
So what I'm getting at is- there is a show or cruise somewhere in your area. (A show is where you pay to park your car, there may be trophys and its usually a full day. A cruise is an informal gathering in some parking lot where you can come and go as you please- no trophies, no pressure. Just people talking cars) If your car is road worthy, why not go and piss some people off. A Lamborghini parked next to my beetle once and the owner was worried that more people would look at my beetle than at his car. He was right. Your car shows what you can do with your hands, not your wallet. Be proud of your ride and show it off.
See you at the next show.
