As of right now, we don't have picnic place. Unknowingly, we assumed that Washington Lake Park was using the first come first serve for picnic areas like last year. 4thinking6

All picnic pavilions must be reserved now (60 dollars for 4 hours/ 120 for 8 hours). Our spot, Lot C as well as all the others are booked solid for June 14. ( Lot C was still open for June 13 (Saturday), but it wont last long, if it's not gone already)

So we need a new place,

  Any Suggestions?     =whiteflag

Belleplain, Atsion, or Parvin State Park?  They have Pavilions and we can camp the night before.  2 for 1  idea\

Riverview Beach Park in Pennsville is big and free and on the water. It's 2 blocks from my house. We could run over there early and get a good spot.
Or Fort Mott. The 3 Forts Ferry is running to Fort Mott again too.

I also dig Celly's Parvin idea.

Scotland Run Park is free for one picnic area where we had it before a few years back. Looks like the attendee list is at about 15 so we just need a couple of tables and a grill.  Flag*

Clearly \coffee y doesn't remember (I heard that happens after a certain age old-\) the Geese poo at Scotland Run, it was unpleasant to say the least. Now I haven't been there in years, so i'm unsure if the geese were fleeced or county parks department said flock it.  haha

Loved Fort Mott, did not care for the biting flies (thousands of them), being chased by insects is like  violent

Also we should have no problem spending $125 for the annual picnic, that plus the Christmas Party are the only 2 major events per year.  ^stirpot-

Didn't JackWagen go over and gently talk to the geese about their poo habits ?  ^stirpot-

You mean its taken already? Or you reserved it.... Fail)

Theres two pavilions, one you reserve, one you show up and claim.

I talked to a  Park Ranger last year and he said they had reduced the Geese population considerable and there you no longer have to tread the mine field. But it's a mot point as it is booked. Don't know about the "claim your pavilion" thing.

Jack and I are going to the county park administration Monday and see if any the other parks have openings. angle
