Rainy day research - Interesting article on installation of right side Beetle mirror:
I used the Ghia external mount before. I think I'll drill away using the template and go with this method $idea\$

Just ordered the mirror and nut from Wolfsburg West.

These young uns are so impatient ^stirpot-

Did the factory weld nuts on all the VWs inner door panel and have the mirror as a dealer installed option on '68 and up?
