After the meet-up at WAWA and some food and coffee everything went to plan with Bob leading the way to Berke Auto Group in Cape May Courthouse. We had 6  cars and another guy joined us who we had met before on a cruise to Tuckerton.
The crowd loved us and I think I could have sold my bus 3 times. -MONEY\
Like Dave said the food was great and Free, also the drinks.
First time I saw this, a pickup with the bed full of ice and all kinds of drinks and water for the taking.  idea\

We hit some traffic on the way on 347 but I think it only held us up for 10 min. or so.

I'm sure this will be on my list to go to next year, it was the  bomb-    MORE PHOTOS

 Yep.perrrrrrrrrrrr
As Jack said it was a really laid back and different car show..

They had all kinds of Freebies, and give aways.  even \VW= Hats

and Free Cheese Burgers, and Dogs, with all the fixins salads, chip snack packs etc and tons of name brand drinks.
It's not like they had just a few so better get something or regret it, the replenishing took place till the end of the show with still piles of grilled Burgers sat for the taking and there were lots of people milling about truly mind boggling how they could afford such an expensive give away.  There was a very reasonable cost of only $10.00 per car, but free food etc for the crowds milling about. Ohooo and the Burgers were sizable and actually decent cheese burgers. Gosh Darn-it you couldn't even buy a lunch of this quality for what the entry fee was, let alone to feed the crowds. Free 11&*

Who the hell gives away endless supplies of free Burgers, and Drinks etc and besides just like a buffet "when free food people usually eat's extra, and not uncommon to pass someone walking by with a plate and stack of burgers on it...  Trust me no one went hungry, and not a penny was charged for any of the Free Foodies.  =hungry

They Even Had things like Free Photos with your choice of C@@L backgrounds, etc. Free, Free, Free

Ohooo and indoor Flush toilets with not a Port-a-Pottie to be seen.   n-o

Actually I was kind of shocked that there wasn't even a cup at the Food tables, asking for donations for the Vets. Who is what the event was actually sponsored for waveflag

Ohooo wait... The only other Car Show that surpassed this event was. The Herbie Swap Meet, and Free Eats. Heck at that event not only was there a huge Selection of FREE Foods, Burgers, Dogs, Sausages, etc. Plus all kind of drinks even Coffee, and Donuts. Plus Almost Free VW Parts.  (bow\

We made many friends, and potential new  Flag*  \VW= members.

 WoW...   asttound

The show was terrific,  wo, what a turnout of so many different historic cars from all over!! Great to have owners of American cars, get some views of our VW's! Maybe even more converts!  Yes, I was also to impressed, that the show sponors could feed the multitude for free, and keep feeding them on, and on and on  FREE!

Ted was glad to have come, and yea, despite what HE said, it was I who had enough traveling with him thru 3 states, and kicked him out of my car. Unfortunately, he found refuge... in Jacks' van.  Another reason why we should keep all of our doors locked all the time!

Had  great time seeing everyone again, haven't seen many of the members for too long of a time - great to catch up on things.  I would have greatly regretted missing the show.
Thanks to Dave for brining the canopy, saving us time to set up ours.

Nice cruise.
Ted will post some pic.s in time when he is not being too lazy........

Jack, thanks for the insistent invite to the show.

wow-  sounds like I missed a good one.

That's the funny thing about these mixed maker shows. They always seem to have plenty of money, plenty of give aways and are genuinely nice people.

Goes to show you- bring your car out to a show and people will come to look at yours- we are driving their memories.

Hell, if they offered to buy Jacks van, they'll be impressed by anything!  tongue\

Just kidding, Jack you little tudball, you.

A note from the show's director

On Sun, Jul 12, 2015 at 10:39 AM, Francey Burke <francey.burke@burkemotorgroup.com> wrote:
Hello Jack thanks so much for your kind message,
it means so much to me.
All the hard work paid off and we were able to raise over $5000 for the veterans yesterday
I will be sending out a memo thanking  all the registrants this week and letting them know about the funds raised.
People did inquire about donations at the food court and we directed them to the DAV donation table.
I did also note your recommendation for more trash cans that is a detail that I overlooked
and I also wish to have speakers so you can have some music next year on your side by the road.
I was actually going to email you today since I have a question for you
Would your club be amenable to coming to the show on a Sunday rather than Saturday?
It was a little tough on our staff to be open for sales and service during the show hours so we thought maybe a Sunday would be a good move.
let me know what you think!
Thanks so much again for attending and getting your club to attend as well
we loved having you!

This was a very well organized show as Jay posted. These people really know how to do it! I am glad we all made it. We talked to many people and answered many questions about SJVWC and our passion. Maybe next year we can take many more members and cars? I think this should be an annual event. It was a nice drive through my neck of the woods and down by the shore!
