There really isn't much you can do with a stock carb except maybe trying the next larger main jet and bump the timing up a LITTLE.  You can't throw a lot more gas in an engine and expect the engine to know what to do with it, it more likely will just throw it out the tail pipe.

You have to design an engine around the camshaft.

Well funny you would say that... I have an extra orig engine that I was planning to rebuild this winter.

Maybe we can have a conversation next time I see you, and I'll start on a parts list. Trying to make a sleeper engine. Just dreaming now, But thats how it all starts  old-\

Dave, was the carb rebuilt during the restoration process? It may have been, i dont remember

For the record, this may be my only post to Dave that didnt mention his car being parked all the time.

Maybe fuel is stagnant in the bowl because the car has been sitting longer than JackWagen on a rainy day

Ant (Pop's Garage)

He has been driving it. I'll give him that.

Carb was not rebuilt, Has fresh gas, It just may be me, not used to all that Horse Power, And always wanted to do a engine build with Jack on a rainy day. YoDa
