WoodsTock Vintage Camper Weekend

Turned out to be a great weekend, the days were hot but not to hot and the nights really cooled down enough to have a blanket on. We had 9 club buses show but only two vintage trailers. I think I counted 20 members at the Pot Luck dinner and movie and around 6 others that joined us for a fun time.
We started Sat. off with a Nature Walk guided by Michelle a park guide and she made it very interesting with the facts and history of the park.
The director of the park and staff were great and checked in on us from time to time to se how we were doing and for any suggestions we may have for another event.Park director talking to Shawn below
A Reporter from a local news paper "The SandPaper" getting the lowdown about the club from Shawn for an article she wanted to do on us.
Jay and Dave below, Dave use to play with Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen and many other great bands back when, A really nice down to earth guy. Dave also sat in and played with Steve and Shawn Friday night around the Campfire

Make that 10 Member camping Vans showed up, I forgot Paula's Van.
Really a great turnout!
We had a ton of people stopping buy all weekend checking out our rides.

Sounds like a fun time. We had planned to stop down on Saturday afternoon but a pesky stomach bug changed that plan.
Any talk about trying it again next year?

It really was a nice time.
We presented the trophy for the nicest vintage camper to Sharon & Paul Dempsey for their beautifully restored 1961 Shasta. Look closely at the trophy and the trailer pics... Talk about coincidence!

Nice trailer!
My family had one of those coolers for years. It's in many pictures of our bbq's and picnics from back in the day.
