Camper Solar Setup, How Too..
« on: September 20, 2015, 09:40:33 am »

Want Renewable Solar Power for your Camper House Battery?

Here is a very Flexible, Creative and very usable and Flexible setup with no fixed solar panel drawbacks.

You can capture the Suns Solar power to renew our Power almost regardless to where you park. That is unless you decide to park deep into a cave..

Most of us try to camp in shaded areas but shade's not conducive to converting the Suns rays into amperage. BTW it's not Volts but available Sun that gets converted to Amps that we need to recharge our batteries.

This setup was my best attempt to have a truly portable Solar Setup that can truly chase the Sun regardless of the Suns position or wherever you may park the camper, without having to breakdown camp and reposition for better Sun as the Earth Turns..

No worries if your fixed Solar panel is dusty or dirty, fear of breakage, or not gathering direct available Sunlight.. Or even just being driven around fixed 99% of the time. Fixed is fine if our World didn't revolve around the Sun, so since we don't have our Campers on a Lazy Susan to rotate and chase the sun. This solution is deployed when and as needed to directly capture the suns energy.

So thought that I'd share my Brainfart with this club as I did sometime ago where it was well perceived by Samba.

Here is a Link that I posted on Samba a little over a year ago when I had this Brainfart..  Hey and it Works.. astound

Also included in link is most of the Part List, and How Too's, etc.

Note.. The word here is FLEXABLE, so can be remotely deployed. I even made a 50' extension cable to help reach out of the woods, and into the light..

When not in use, everything stows neatly inside, with nothing to be damaged, corroded, or stolen.

I call it my Flexible Solar Setup because it is exactly that, and very Flexible at that!  s=un

 Enjoy..

Love mine!!!

The ability to "chase the sun" and keep the bus in the shade was what sold me!

Great write up.

I referred to it when doing mine!
