Oh yea, that was a blast removing and replacing the brake assembly, John had most of the fun with it though. Putting it back in was a real bear... John, I, Joe and Ralph all worked on it - seemed like an hour mostly trying to get the front bolt in, Ralph worked on it the least amount of time as he was able to get the front bolt in with seemingly no prob!

. His approach from the passenger side did the trick, or Ralph as a latent front-bolt-pedal-assembly talent he never knew about.
I don't think it was the cable, nor it's length which is affecting shifting; what came to my mind was the shifter coupling.... - perhaps something happened there - while being replaced.
