So Matt, can we assume that the basic procedure is the same for all VW solex carbs? What would be the differences?

John,

I've done a few variations on the solex and they are all very similar. I've done Kadrons, the type 2/4 solex carbs used as duals on those engines (think they were 32 or 34 PSDTs) and even a 2bbl solex used on a BMW. They didn't spend lots or R&D when they designed those.
