What has a 25 hp VW engine but isn't a VW??

Guys,

I'm sitting having my lunch and finally catching up on this months edition of "Hot VWs". On page 76 is one of the wildest and weirdest vehicles I've ever seen. Anybody ever hear of a "Tempo Matador" ? No its not a new Spanish musical group! Its a cab over truck that was built from 1949 to 1951. Now big deal right? well this truck was made with a 25 hp VW engine and best of all Front Wheel Drive! thats right pre type 2 and front wheel drive. These vehicles had a cab over style front end, a nice pick up style bed and the engine sat behind the driver, o yes it also had "suicide doors"! To understand what we are talking about you have to see this one. I got curious so I googled the name and came up with some interesting web sites.

Looks like "old bug.com" has the same photos that hot vws did but just more of them. WOW I just noticed its for sale on that site $110,000 Yeow! that would buy a couple of split window bugs with enough left over for my Fridolin! Still a cool ride!

I cant get over how the Tempo kombi resembles a bay, and it`s in JERSEY! I`ll bet the story of how it made it to this shore is interesting!!! s#r BO**
