Subject: VW search...for my big day

Hi VW club..

My name is Pamela McDevitt, I live in Philadelphia, PA and I love love VW beetles…

I am 28 years old and my dad lives in Williamstown, NJ…I am originally from NJ- I went to Gloucester Catholic High School.

In high school my boyfriend had a vintage restored red bug…and I’ve had 2 of the new beetles.

I look forward to the day I take a Sunday drive in my own vintage beetle with my husband and our children in the back…soaking up the sun…

But until then- I am working on getting married first!

I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.

I am getting married in Philadelphia on Saturday July 12th, 2008.

I am searching desperately to find a vintage VW beetle to transport me for my house to the church and from the church to the cocktail hour…and obviously be part of my photos.

Everything is taking place in Old City- the historic section of Philadelphia.

I also live a few blocks away in Northern Liberties-..so all the events are taking place within blocks of each other.

I am getting married at St. Augustine Church on 4th and Vine at 1:00 and the cocktails are at 4:00 the historic Betsy Ross’ House (3rd and Arch Street) in her outside courtyard…so pulling up to people outside would make a lovely entrance.

If you think that you know of any willing VW owners or a person I could contact or a listing I could place to maybe make this a reality I would be forever grateful!

I did place a wanted ad on craigslist- and some cool people gave me this website to explore!

I look forward to hearing from you with any advice or feedback…I am open to suggestions!

I remember at the one the VW shows at Double Trouble State Park about 10 or more years ago that there was a stretch VW Beetle.  Anyone remember it?  That would make decent wedding transport.
