Just kidding, weezey is lookin good but is it in primer in the first photo? Didn't know that year was that rare here in the US. We had a 69 in my family for years and it was a great car.

For the longest time I thought Weezer was dark blue or a dark purple. I didn't know my color blindness was so bad!  >:(

That color is the famous rattle can black- right before it went to Maaco Bob.

Squarebacks weren't sold in the states until mid 1966. Disc brakes were added and a year later fuel injection

Cool "rat" look!

Didn't know about the "domed" pistons, guess with better gas back then the higher compression didn't hurt anything.

The one we had was fuel injected. Now despite what they say that bosch injection was totaly reliable. I remember doing the calipers on the front brakes and it was my first exposure to disk brakes.

Sad story was that my Dad drove the car for about 9 years and finally the front suspension gave out due to rust. Nobody back then was making repro parts so we sent it to my cousins auto body shop. They tried to find a way to repair the rust but it was too far gone. The car stayed at the shop for about 2 years and finally when it was going to be junked they threw a fresh battery in and it started right up! Now don't shoot me this story happened around 1985 so there wasn't much to save and back then it was just another old junker.

Bud

Thanks Bud, but really the only reason I did it was to get more members to turn in pictures of their cars to Jack. All you need is two pictures, they can be a before and after or just two nice shots of your ride. Write a little story about how you and your car got together and what you've done to it since and send it to Jack. He'll post it up. (He's not really as crabby as everyone says he is.)

Besides Bud, you were starting to monopolize that page :icon_thumleft:
