I am in need of a person that does upholstery work on cars. Is there any reputable ones that you can recommend?

What do you need done and what model / year do you need this work done on. Most of the guys on here can probably talk you through it, or maybe even give you a helping hand.

Thanks for your reply. The vinyl that covers the dash of my Speedster is pulling away from the horizontal trim that seperates the painted surface. Have tried unsuccessfully to restretch and glue several times. The vinyl keeps shrinking in hot temperatures, and pulls away from the trim piece again. Only thing that I can figure is that initially the vinyl that was cut for the dash covering is a whisker to small! I have another piece of vinyl to recover te dash, but since I am not an upholsterer, I am very leary to try to replace without a professional. It will entail removing the windshield to replace vinyl. Anyone interested in taking on such a project and can insure a quality end product? I would like to post photo's of the car,but don't know how. Help!

Well 1st of all we all know that the Sun and UV will shrink almost anything that is except for Superman.  Did you stretch and glue the vinyl to help it to hold in place. Also if you install it again do it on a warm day so that the vinyl can be more plyable and stretch to shape easier.  s#r

Hey Sptstr57,
I will try to post pics of a dash I did a few weeks ago. It has a number of curces and it came out very nice. It is the dash of a 55 Tbird. I had to remove the old fabric, clean the metal surface, checked with an excellent parts provider (actually had me call the adhesive company to determine the exact application right down to the color of the vinyl) to get the right porduct. I like the look!
I'l post pics later.
