MEETING TONIGHT

WOW, if the meetings get greater then they are I think the Board of Directors is going to have to find a larger home for our meetings. The meeting tonight was simply fabulous. Maybe we should elect theses guys to another term in office. What's the illustrious membership think about that? :icon_thumright:

Again thanks for the vote of confidence. Its great to hear you guys think we are doing a good job. Just keep in mind that the board members can only serve 2 consecutive terms. My term is up as prez in October as I've been prez for 2 years. I'm sure whoever "picks up the torch" will keep things rolling along. Sure its important to have an active board but there would be no club without such a terrific membership!

to all the rules and laws that have been in place for years and years.
Than why can't SJVWC put in place an amendment to our policy about how long a person can serve in a certain position. It could be put up to the membership for a vote.
This is only my 2CENTS worth, I hope other members feel the same way ??? :icon_cheers:

It all depends on how close you want to follow "Roberts Rules". A club can modify it's rules at anytime. Are there any Bylaws yet, I kow this a fairly young group.

This is something that was voted on a long time ago- Board members can only serve two consecutive terms in a position. It gives other people a chance to help shape this club plus it gives board members a break every now and then. Believe it or not, every now and then I would like to come to the monthly meeting and only have to worry about where I am parked :icon_wink:

I'm not sure who the Powers-to-Be are in this club / gang / gaggle / "Society" m-d. But whoever they are are doing a Great Job. Yea-aaaaa That right you know who you are. I think the two year and out rule should be altered / tweeked / massaged / bent/ etc, etc. Heck Jack sleeps most of the time anyway so are we counting his awake years, or including the nappy-poo-time also.
