Besides it keeps Bob from getting too power hungry

OK HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!!!! i'm not stepping down!! and I want a library ! Every President gets a presidential library! ( actually a couple of magazines next to the bathroom will do! ) And from now on everybody is to address me as "President Bob".

Now who's getting too power hungry??   :icon_king:

Ok just kidding! actually when we penned the club charter we really thought about the term limits since after a couple of years fresh faces usually come with fresh ideas. Its not that the current board is going stale but sometimes a fresh perspective in anything is a welcome change. I've enjoyed my time as prez but someone else may have great ideas and vision for this club and its only fair they get a shot at that. Its more work than it looks like and you always have to remember no matter who is president there is still 4 other board members who have a say in things.

Is there a copy of what has been adopted by the club already. I don't want to start a conversation that has already been done

Dave,

the charter is printed on the back of your membership application ( see the yellow part ) the only requirements to hold an office is that a person belong to the club for 1 year and attend at least 10 out of 12 meetings.

John ... you just made ice tea come out my nose from laughing!
The current folks are doing a GREAT JOB but I'm sure all of you could use a break from it.

Newsman huh ... does an existing member have a "alter ego" or something to that effect?
INTERESTING

Yep ... I'm in for bigger space. Maybe someplace that serves food/drinks? Some of us folks come straight from work and could use some grub.
Just a thought ...
