Hey everyone, my name is Joe Koenig (aka Jersey Joe) and I am from Berlin, NJ. I just wanted to say hello and look forward to possibly catching up with everyone at a meeting. I have spoke with Ed in the past about joining the club. I was at Fuddruckers tonight and met a guy by the name of Joe and he gave me the website. I know a bunch of local people and do not know why it has taken me this long to join. haha
I have a '68 beetle with a nitrous assisted 2387cc. The car is all steel and weights 1998lbs with me. I run in a series called  "Unlimited Street East". To be honest, I enjoy just cruising my car as much as racing it. To date it has run a best of 10.85 @ 127mph in the 1/4, 6.77 @ 103mph in the 1/8th with a mild tune. The car was featured in the January 2003 issue of VW Trends and has also been in various pictures in Hot VWs.
Here are a few pics of the car :

  Hay Joe:

That was fast! So glad to see your posting, I’m glad you included pictures of your car so I don’t have to explain just how incredible it is.

Welcome and look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

I understand you have to look closely for the "Jersey look"  it's trademark is in the tools the vw is carrying, it is missing at least one tool, cause that tool somehow in someway ended up in............. oh forget it...

  y'all know

             Matt

& welcome Joe, that is one beautiful car!  Hope  I see it soon!
