87 Lincoln Town Car - Not VW but .... A future Classic!
« on: August 01, 2008, 02:50:14 pm »

Fellow Motorheads...

I'm selling the wifes 87' Lincoln Town Car. Its been her daily driver for the past 7 years. We've got a good deal on a Nissan Altma so the old boat has to go. I'm the second owner and got the car with an original 33,000 miles. Now this is a BIG car but a really nice riding beast. If you want to cruise in style or just have a very BIG family then this one is for you! The color is Silver with a gray vinyl top. The interior is a nice burgundy red, with fully reclining seats. I hate to sell it but that means I'm insuring 6 cars! something has to go!

Heres what it has...
the good:

302 V8 - runs great and not really that bad on gas - around 18 mpg if you don't beat it

full leather interior - great shape! somewhere theres a herd of Cows standing around naked!

Cold air! - need it this summer! was converted to R134 years ago

Recent Transmission - had it rebuilt around 75,000 miles

4 almost new tires - have less than 5000 miles - white  walls

Power everything! thats windows, seats, antenna, trunk release, locks plus lighted vanity mirrors, delay headlights, cool interior spot lights, power rear vue mirrors with defrosters,  and a very cool outside thermometer !

great AM - FM Cassette radio ( Ok no Ipod jack but still sounds great )

The car has been serviced by Bellmawr Tire & Auto ( thats Rick AKA Monkeybars place of employment ) since we've had it

the bad...

Drivers side arm rest is shot

Drivers side rear power window doesn't always work - but included is a brand new lift motor just put it in!

starting to surface rust in the rear quarters, not bad and can be fixed before it goes through

some cracking on the top of the dash around the speakers.

OK heres the bottom line...
I'm asking $1200 or best offer but make me a fair offer and this future classic can be yours!
