1987 Lincoln Towncar - just what everybody needs! think big VW!
« on: September 16, 2008, 10:13:11 am »

Guys,

I hate to do it but we've got to part with my wifes 87 Lincoln. Heres the stats:

87 4 door Town car, 111,000 miles
we are the second owners
302 V8
Automatic trans - rebuilt at 75,000 miles
power everything! , locks, windows seats mirrors tilt wheel, cruise control. great stereo ( with cassette tape deck! think - retro ) power antenna
Rear defrosters & heated outside mirrors with outside thermometer
Leather interior, automatic headlights with auto dimming
Cold air - just serviced plus 4 new tires with less than 2000 miles
Silver with a burgundy leather interior
will make a nice QQ car in a few years

Please spare me the  fig2 its really a nice car and yes it isn't THAT bad on gas. It averages around 16 to 18 mpg  city and 18 to 21 highway. No worse than an SUV and way more comfortable!

This would make someone a great "grocery getter" and it beats a used SUV by a mile! Think you could be crusin in real class! ( OK Martin ! hope you see this it beats the Caddy ! )

Now all this luxury can be yours for only... $1200.00

If anyone is interested I can e-mail photos - thanks for looking!

that would be funny! I'd think they would disqualify you for rolling in with this one. Nobody riding with you would complain, air, heat, reclining seats and cruise control the Babe would never be the same!

Anyway as of tonight its sold!!

Congrats on the sale.

Im already disqualified next year because the event organizer is my co driver.  And it still wouldnt be as bad as the idiots who brought a 2004 Taurus and tried to convince everyone they bought it for $250.   Just doing it for fun next year so I can play with the rules a bit :)  Looking for big american barges.

Yes I still have the studebaker but I made a few tactical errors which make me not want to bring it on the rally.....like building a 383 small block with approx 400hp....just not willing to risk loosing it all on the rally.  Its now a longer term project as I build it right to handle the power and make it a nice cruiser.
